My very first blog Ever!

Ryan and I just returned from our three day 'back-country' camping experience. On Wednesday, we loaded up two canoes with camping gear & doggies, then preceded to paddle across lake Kejimkujik to our very own island. The weather was beautiful--but, the warmth created a see breeze with the lake making it impossible to canoe anywhere on Thursday. But all in all, it was a good time. Ryan even caught a fish!

Below is our campsite. It had a firewood shed, a picnic table, a campfire box, and an outhouse.

...and here are some pics of our island oasis....

Our campsite was #15, and each grid is 1 kilometer. If you click on the map, it will get bigger. We started out from Jakes Landing (upper right of larger map).

All packed up for the trip home....what a wonderful 3 days!
