Sophie's Room...

I'm almost done with the nursery. I still need to find curtains and hang them, and just a few more touches here and there...

It is vinyl peel & stick wall art, very cool stuff and very easy to use.

Next time I go into the city I'm going to look for some more decals to sprinkle around behind the crib and bookshelf. Speaking of which--that bookshelf belonged to Sophie's great-great-grandparents, and it is also the bookshelf that was in my grandparent's playroom growing up.

My dad drove it out when he came out (Thank You!!). It used to be BRIGHT green...but very old and chippy and dingy. I cannot ever remember it being any other color...in fact, I'm sure it never was. I had to give it a quick sand, prime, and triple coat of paint....But I am so happy that another generation will be able to use it.

Sophia had her 6 day old photoshoot yesterday...

The girl I worked with at the United Way is an aspiring photog and offered to come over and snap some shots for practice. I took these photos with my camera... unfortunatly, I didn't even think to start using it until the very end of the shoot. I can't wait to see the shots that she got. Sophia's Pappa is going to get some 'normal' baby pictures this weekend...
